Culture
"Create the kind of workplace and company culture that will attract great talent. If you hire brilliant people, they will make work feel more like play." Richard Branson
We spend a lot of time keeping our culture vibrant, accessible and important.
It's what keeps our team committed, engaged and healthy.
It’s not something we want as a ‘nice to have’. It binds us together and lifts us all Skyrise high.
It’s also the reason our clients say they like working with us.
It’s a big part of the Skyrise effect.
WELLNESS WEDNESDAY
With hybrid working now here to stay we have found innovative ways to stay connected with our team with activities that can be just as powerful and effective online as in person.
Our award-winning Wellness Wednesday means we use every Wednesday as a way to keep our team healthy, happy, motivated and engaged by providing a midweek pick-me-up and a focus on wellbeing.
As programmatic marketing specialists, we had all the bad habits and cliches you’d expect in a digital agency.
Essentially at its core Wellness Wednesday has become an informal way for us all to develop healthy habits, and lay the groundwork for a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Our team is diverse so we try to ensure there's something for everyone with a range of activities.
We focus our efforts into taking some well earned time away from our desks to disconnect from work and reconnect on a social level.
We try to keep it interesting, fresh and engaging whether that’s DEI training or journaling, health shots or getting messy with clay for a mindful pottery activity, at-desk posture exercises or reading a book for book club in a genre you might not have never picked up before.
“Coffee & Conversations” means we chat openly about physical or mental health topics, it’s really important that no subject matter is taboo and these are open to all genders within our business. “School trips” where we leave the office together and walk together to local art galleries, visiting exhibitions, and graffiti art spotting around the city.
There’s something for everyone.
Book Club
Whilst not a new concept, Book Club is a welcomed addition to our culture. Opinions and narratives are are thrashed about and we can confidently express our opinion no matter who we're with. Great for fostering bonds with people you may not work with every day.
Employee of the Quarter
Voted for by the whole team, Employee of the Quarter is THE coveted award at Skyrise. As a winner you receive £200 and a shiny trophy for the quarter before passing it on to the next winner.
Upskilling
In addition to team-wide training, we offer optional training in areas like First Aid, Mental Health Awareness, Suicide Prevention Awareness, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. We know it's beneficial to shift, alter and evolve our mindsets to commit to change, we're big believers in the ripple effect.
Annual Conference
We get together quarterly to review what we've achieved and reveal what we have in store for the quarter ahead. Then once a year we take a trip together to go in-depth into our strategy and targets for the year ahead and how everyone can play their part. Then we like to celebrate together maybe a little bit! Trips have included Ireland and Valencia most recently.
Bring Your Whole Self to Work
We want employees to bring their whole self to work. By bringing together diversity and inclusion with health and wellbeing we can drive positive transformation in workplace mental health and performance.
We know teams that feel safe and connected work better together. Our people and teams are at their most effective and creative when everybody feels psychologically safe and is seen, heard, and valued.

Elevenses
Sharing is caring.
Elevenses shares knowledge across the business, instilling best practice and upskilling everyone on topics that help us all work together better. Plus it gives everyone a chance to shine at their slide making expertise.
Coffee and Conversations
No topic taboo.
We use our Coffee and Conversations sessions to educate and talk openly about topics that don't often come up in the office, to make them easier to if and when they ever do. Menopause, cervical cancer, equality and equity all over a nice brew are often the most enlightening way to start our Wednesday.
